Strong Man
In my walk with God, I have come to realize that there are so many things you won’t be able to do in life without that divine strength.
Believers who understand that life is spiritual and understand that we are in a warfare are victorious by putting on the whole armor of God.
“And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong.” Ephesians 6:10 (MSG)
You can never be more than a conqueror in this life that we are or victorious in your endeavors as God has intended for you to be simply by being intellectual or because you are living a holier-than-thou life.
While these first two vitals are essential for good living, in addition to all that, you must be strong in the Lord and stay on guard with the armor of God for you to defeat the devil and his agents, quelling their fiery darts and walking in constant victory.
In doing all of that and coming victorious, you must apply these 3 lessons below:
- Stay on Guard (Ephesians 6:10–12)
The foundation of our strength lies in God.
We must understand that our battle against spiritual forces cannot be won by our power alone. We need to draw strength from God, acknowledging that He is the ultimate source of our empowerment.
Our spiritual armors, which are truthfulness, righteousness, readiness from the gospel of faith, salvation, and the word of God, must actively be put on to help defend and protect us against the devil’s schemes.
Recognize that these “weapons” are not physical (carnal) but spiritual, designed to protect and empower us in the spiritual battles we face.
The real enemy is not other people but spiritual forces of evil.
Staying on guard means recognizing that we face a formidable, invisible opponent — Satan and his demonic forces.
By staying on guard and applying the principles of our armor, we can better equip ourselves for the spiritual battles we face and remain steadfast in our faith, knowing that with God’s strength, we can stay on guard against any attack from the evil ones.
- Depend On God (Ephesians 6:13–17)
Acknowledge that the spiritual battles we face are beyond our human capacity, like I shared earlier, beyond intellectual properties to handle alone.
Dependence on God is essential.
We must take all the help God provides through His spiritual armor to withstand the attacks and remain standing firm.
By depending on God and utilizing the spiritual armor He provides, we can confidently face and overcome the spiritual battles in our lives, standing firm in His strength and protection.
- Never Stop Praying (Ephesians 6:18–20)
Recognize the importance of constant and fervent prayer in the spiritual battle.
Just as soldiers must maintain communication with their command center, Christians must stay in continuous communication with God through prayer, seeking His guidance, strength, and protection.
Prayers must also extend beyond our personal needs.
One of my favorite prayers used to be ‘Father, I’m praying for the salvation of the community, online space, and the world at large’.
We need to include intercession for fellow believers.
We must be vigilant and supportive, encouraging one another and lifting each other in prayer to ensure that no one falters or loses heart in their faith journey.
By never stopping praying, we maintain our connection with God, draw on His strength, and support each other in the spiritual battle, ensuring that His message is spread with boldness and clarity.
In conclusion:
every believer of the good news must stand strong in the Lord, adhering to the tips, guidelines, and truths revealed in these notes.
We possess all the weapons, divine resources, and spiritual arsenal necessary for victory.
Moreover, the abundant grace available to us is more than sufficient for all our needs.
